This year’s theme for the symposium is “Looking Back and Moving Forward”.
· Looking back, how can we learn from the history of river restoration in the Northwest and beyond? What are we doing well and where do we need to make improvements?
· Moving forward: how will river restoration professionals prepare to meet the challenging prospects that await us: global climate change, increased urbanization, population growth, declines in the number and diversity of species, increasing pressure to develop wild lands and waters, and other challenges?

RRNW is continuing to refine our Symposium format to assure timely topics are delivered by a wide range of speakers in sessions that are important to our audience. We will have invited speakers, 20-minute oral presentations delivered in topical sessions, and a continued emphasis on poster presentations, which will be given in a session scheduled during the main body of the conference.
The conference organizing committee also invites organizations to become future event sponsors. Several levels of participation are available including opportunities for publicity and free conference admission.
