The Stories Of Our Watersheds film event features some amazing short films and provides an opportunity to meet with filmmakers and organizations representing the films.
Our annual event celebrates the different ways we experience and sustain our watersheds from the mountains to the Ocean and everything in-between.
River Restoration Northwest (RRNW) is excited to announce that we will be hosting our 7th annual ‘Stories of Our Watersheds” film event virtually October 26th to November 8th with a live question and answer event November 7th so that you have an opportunity to meet the filmmakers!

Click here to see the list of films selected from the 2020 event. They represent a diverse set of rivers and watersheds from across the forests of the Pacific Northwest to Tazmania. Selected films share stories from a variety of conservation organizations, tribes, watershed councils, agencies, filmmakers, as well as people simply enjoying their rivers, lakes, and contributing watersheds.

Celebrating How We Experience and Sustain our Watersheds Through Film
The Stories Of Our Watersheds film event features some amazing short films, an opportunity to meet with filmmakers and organizations representing the films, as well as a chance to win some great door prizes.
River Restoration Northwest (RRNW) is excited to announce that we will be hosting our 6th annual ‘Stories of Our Watersheds” film event virtually October 26th to November 8th with a live question and answer event so that you have an opportunity to meet the filmmakers!
Our annual event celebrates the different ways we experience and sustain our watersheds from the mountains to the Ocean and everything in-between. Selected films will be shown on the big screen at theaters in:
- Portland, Oregon
- Seattle, Washington
- Bend, Oregon
RRNW is seeking films that are entertaining, educational, and inspirational. Films should not be commercial in nature. Submitted films should acknowledge the many disciplines, perspectives of the river or watershed restoration industry, watershed stakeholders and river users. This year we are encouraging films that focus on the theme of Changing Course: The challenges we face, and the measures we take, to adapt to the critical changes looming in our climate, political, and social systems.
Run times of 10 minutes or less, per film is preferred, with a maximum length of 20 minutes.

The final film submission deadline is March 13th, 2020
