RRNW Mentorship Program
The RRNW Mentorship Program fosters meaningful connections that inspire, support, and elevate the river restoration community. Designed for early-career professionals, the program provides an opportunity to learn from experienced leaders, gain career insights, expand networks, and build confidence in a path forward.
Mentorship plays a vital role in strengthening the field by transferring real-world knowledge, supporting professional growth, and fostering lasting relationships that contribute to long-term engagement and retention.
Open to both mentors and mentees, this six-month program is rooted in connection, shared experience, and a commitment to shaping the future of river restoration—together. Participation is coordinated in conjunction with the annual symposium, creating dedicated time and space for at least one in-person engagement for every matched pair. When registering for the symposium you will be asked if you’d like to participate.

At this time, the program is limited to those who attend the annual symposium as it creates the space for mentors and mentees to have time together in person.
