2024 Mentorship Program
RRNW will be introducing a pilot mentorship program connected to the 2024 Symposium. This pilot mentorship program will be designed as a test to learn from and possibly adapt in future years.
Twenty mentees and mentors are agreeing to a six month mentorship program. This includes an introductory meeting (by email, phone, in-person, or virtual) before the Symposium, at least one in-person meeting during the Symposium and then a four month commitment for additional mentorship sessions/interactions (phone, in-person, or virtual) that would go until June. Interaction format is informal (i.e. not planned by RRNW) and will look differently for each pair within this timeline but the expectation is these are meaningful connections (i.e., not just emails) for both the mentor and mentee.
The purpose is for early career professionals to be connected with insights and guidance of ‘more experienced’ individuals in our community. Mentor-mentee programs play a vital role in transferring knowledge, supporting personal and professional development, fostering networking opportunities, building confidence, broadening perspectives, and promoting retention and engagement in our fields. These programs can have a lasting impact on mentees' and mentors' lives, both personally and professionally.
Simply fill out the form below that corresponds to if you want to be a mentor or mentee and we’ll do the rest to get you connected! Application deadline is December 15th. For more information on expectations and roles, click here.
The pilot will be led by RRNW Board Members Dominique Shore and Lisa Remlinger, please contact them directly at mentorship@rrnw.org.
